Professor George A. Calin, MD, PhD, is a Professor in Experimental Therapeutics, Division of Cancer Medicine, and Co-Director of the Center for RNA Interference and Non-Coding RNAs, at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, USA.
Professor George Calin received his MD and PhD degrees from “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, in Bucharest, Romania. Prof. Calin continued his cancer genomics training in Massimo Negrini’s laboratory at University of Ferrara, in Italy. In 2000 he became a postdoctoral fellow at Kimmel Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA, in Carlo Croce’s laboratory. Before joining the MD Anderson Cancer Center, he held research and teaching positions at Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia and Ohio State University, in Columbus. Read more
